When I started out in trying to make a go of a Network Marketing opportunity, I made a lot of rookie mistakes. The first one was to trust marketers who did not deserve to be trusted. I spent hundreds of dollars at a time hoping to make some back.

I put out $300, and $400 and some ridiculous amounts of money. I was paying for kits that I did not need, buying products that I did not use, and just listening to people that I wanted to trust. I believed them when they said they were in the best Network Marketing opportunity.

One person convinced me that the only way I could sign up was to purchase the most expensive product the company sold. The proceeded to sign me up automatically for a $200 a month auto ship. That did not last too long, but I always remembered the deception. It was not about what I wanted, or what I could afford, it was about what they could make the most commissions on. IN SOME PEOPLE’S EYES THEY WERE BEING SUCCESSFUL.

But if you don’t know, you don’t know. This is not an attempt to bash anyone, or discredit anyone’s business practices. I am merely relating what I considered to be mistakes on my part. But like I said earlier, ALL roads leads to where you want to be. When you have a vision in your head, you know it when you see it. This is now where I have settled, in a Network Marketing Opportunity, that I feel good about.

Artificial sweeteners. Are they a good alternative?

 

This topic has been in the news recently, and I thought I should draw your attention to the different sides of this debate on ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS. It appears there has been a decline in the consumption of diet sodas and other beverages sweetened with artificial sweeteners.  And so a campaign was initiated  to convince buyers that it is safe.

Also in the new recently is the  results of an Italian study that has issued a caution when it comes to using sucralose.

 

Some of the artificial sweeteners on the market are:

  • Aacesulfame potassium has 0 calories and a slightly bitter taste. It cannot be broken down by the body, so it is supposed to be passed out in tact. (huh?)
  • Sucralose has 0 calories, is about 600 times sweeter than sugar, and has an artificial taste.
  • Saccharin has 0 calories, is about 300 times sweeter than sugar, and has the ability to cross the placenta.
  • Aspartame has 4 calories per gram, is around 80 to 200 times sweeter than sugar, and contains an ingredient that breaks down into methanol.
  • Neotame has 0 calories, is about 8000 times sweeter than sugar, and contains a compound that breaks down into methanol.

Other artificial sweeteners on the market are Sorbitol and Mannitol xylitol

These are marketed by familiar brand names with which you may be familiar.

What do these things have in common?

1+1=2 , 2+2-4, 4+4=16. Do that for 2 minutes and you will be surprised how quickly you will get into hundreds and then thousands.

I know that you can add. But do you add up the amount of harmful chemicals that you bombard your blood stream with each day?  What goes through our pores are just as crucial as what goes in our mouth. So we know that our food is supposed to contain vital nutrients. Vitamins and minerals among them. Let us consider  for a few minutes what we may be overlooking in our daily routine  Vitamin Power – Vitamin C.

Some time in the early 1900’s researchers and scientists started the discovery of vitamins. As time progressed, more and more of these hidden essentials in NATURAL foods were isolated and named. They starting naming them. A B C  etc. Many different strains of B vitamins, were detected and  they started assigning numbers B1, B2, etc (not very creative, but practical)

Perhaps the vitamin most thought of is Vitamin C.  Next to vitamin C in the dictionary of our minds we imagine an orange. That is because it is the fruit more readily identified as high in Vitamin C. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

In an effort to implement as many Healthy Actions as I can, I am always doing research online and trying to understand my body and how it functions and what I can do to make it work better and prevent illness. My favorite people to learn from are medical doctors who also incorporate natural healing methods, and preventative techniques. Along with ancient techniques such as acupuncture, massage and etc. which collectively encourage healthy Habits.

Recently I’ve been discovering much about hormones and the glands that produce them.  What a great impact they have on our bodies and how important they are!!  Understanding the various organs and what is required for them to function optimally, and the various systems in place that keeps everything moving, is truly enlightening.

EXPERIENCE IS THE BEST TEACHER

While meditating on the fact that there is so much we can do to improve our health if we understood it just a little bit, I remembered an incident that bore out my thoughts. A long time ago,( Over thirty years ) when I bought my first car, I went to the dealer to collect the car. Most females would have had someone accompany them, but I went alone. The salesman spent some time showing me certain things about the car. He went under the hood and showed me how to top up the fluids and so on. He also demonstrated what he thought I needed to know on the dashboard and the controls. So when he came to (what I later discovered was) the internal heating system, he said, “don’t worry about that. It doesn’t work.” I very uncharacteristically did not ask any questions about it. So several months later when I started feeling this intense heat at my feet, as I was driving, I had no idea where it was coming from. I imagined all kinds of reasons. I talked to people about what could be the problem, and continued to be perplexed as I drove around with heat on my feet in eighty to ninety degree weather, promising to take the car to a mechanic to figure it out. A simple approach to HEALTH AND WELLNESS –3

It appears that more people are sick in these modern times, with more illnesses than we knew of in the past. Perhaps it is that modern science has evolved to where it is now able to identify ailments more readily.
It is also possible that more illnesses are developing from more environmental issues as well as nutritional mistakes, and compromised food.

In the previous articles I began to describe the common sense approach to protecting our bodies more. Let us continue to look at some more simple decisions that can alter the rate at which the body is compromised, and also affects our individual HEALTH AND WELLNESS.

We sign up for regular maintenance on our vehicles, but do we take care to maintain our body, Giving it what it needs to function, and be HEALTHY AND WELL?
The residue that collects in our joints is like rust in movable parts of a machine. The toxins collect and forms inflammation in our joints. We give it a name (arthritis) and accept it as normal. Is there something normal about cutting off a piece of your finger every day? Well consuming “food” that destroys the body slowly is just as abnormal. We can’t see the small changes.
